I had a pleasant stay at the hotel, enjoying the beautiful views and clean accommodations. The staff was accommodating, allowing me to check in early, which was greatly appreciated. However, I was a bit disappointed that breakfast service was no longer available, and there was a hiccup with the shuttle service during my stay.

Rooms
8.0
My room was spacious and clean, exactly what I hoped for with a nice waterfront view. The balcony with rocking chairs was a lovely touch too.
Service
9.0
The staff was incredibly understanding and accommodating, making my experience more pleasant. They even let me check in a bit earlier after my procedure, which showed their kindness.
Location

The hotel is conveniently located close to downtown and the marina, making it easy for sightseeing and enjoying the area.
Dining

I ordered takeout from the bistro, and it was pretty good! The grilled cheese and soup hit the spot, though I missed having breakfast options available.
Facilities

The pool area was well maintained and provided stunning views. It was nice to relax by the fireplace while enjoying the sunset.

I had a mixed experience at the Courtyard Charleston Waterfront. The location by the Ashley River was stunning, offering amazing views from my room. While the staff were friendly and accommodating, I faced some issues with room cleanliness and breakfast convenience that left me wishing for a better experience.

Rooms
8.0
My King Corner Room was spacious and clean, with a wide shower and comfortable furnishings. However, it could have used better attention to dusting.
Service
8.0
The staff, especially at the front desk, were amazing and personable, always ready to assist. However, I did encounter some responsiveness issues regarding room cleanliness.
Location
9.0
The hotel’s location was great, offering easy access to downtown and the waterfront views were very nice. The shuttle service to the historic district was a big plus for getting around.
Dining
6.0
While the breakfast options were limited and inconvenient, with a ticketing system that made dining for two difficult, the banana bread pancakes I tried were delicious. I did find the overall food quality lacking.
Facilities
7.0
The pool area was attractive but not as clean as I had hoped, and the hot tub jets were not functioning during my stay. There were also nice outdoor seating areas to enjoy.

6.2/10

I had mixed feelings about my stay at the Courtyard Charleston Waterfront. On the plus side, the location is great and the hospitality, particularly from the bellman and the bistro manager, was great. However, I was really disappointed with the dated rooms and some maintenance issues like a noisy toilet and inadequate shower height. All in all, I expected more for the price I paid.

Rooms
5.0
The room felt really outdated and not as clean as expected. The shower was particularly impractical, being too low for someone my height. I also experienced a running toilet all night which added to the discomfort.
Service
8.0
The service was a highlight, with the bellman being exceptionally welcoming and the bistro manager handling her busy night with grace.
Location
9.0
The hotel's location was perfect for exploring Charleston, with a nice view from the fire pit area.
Dining
7.0
The dining experience was quite good with delicious breakfast options, including made-to-order pancakes.
Facilities
5.0
The common areas were pleasant, but the overall facilities felt tired and needed some attention.

7.4/10

I had a mixed experience at the Courtyard Charleston Waterfront. On one hand, the harbor views were beautiful and the location was central, making it easy to explore Charleston. On the other hand, the service was occasionally inconsistent and there were multiple issues with my room that dampened my stay.

Rooms
5.0
The King Corner Room I occupied had a lovely balcony with a great view, but it also had some problems like a broken towel holder upon arrival and an unpleasant smell. Overall, it felt tired and not up to the quality I expected.
Service
6.0
The service was a bit hit or miss. I found some staff to be friendly and attentive, but others were less helpful, particularly during check-in when there were billing issues.
Location
6.0
The hotel's location was unfortunately not ideal. While it’s right off the highway, there's not much within walking distance, so I definitely needed to rely on Ubers to get around.
Dining
5.0
I enjoyed the Bistro breakfast options, though the breakfast-included package had strict item limitations. I also found it inconvenient having to deal with a single breakfast ticket for two people.
Facilities
5.0
The hotel had nice public spaces, but features like parking came with additional fees which felt unnecessary given the overall cost of the stay.

7.4/10

I had a pleasant stay at Courtyard Charleston Waterfront, appreciating the friendly staff and the clean, updated rooms. however, I did notice some areas needing improvement, particularly in dining options and room maintenance. The location was ideal, being just a quick shuttle ride from downtown, although it felt a bit isolated at times.

Rooms
8.0
The room was clean and updated, with a lovely river view. but I did spot some dust and a need for renovations, particularly in the bathrooms. I also experienced some noises from the highway outside.
Service
9.0
The staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating throughout my stay. though there were a couple of instances that could have been smoother, like delays in responses from maintenance.
Location
7.0
The hotel is conveniently located near downtown Charleston, with easy access via the shuttle. but its isolation made it less appealing for walking to nearby attractions.
Dining
6.0
Dining services offered complimentary mimosas and some decent dishes. yet, my experience with the breakfast was underwhelming, and the food quality could definitely improve.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel facilities included a pleasant outdoor area and essential services like laundry. but the cleanliness in the restaurant could use attention.
